Job Description

An automotive warranty is the “promise” between the manufacturer and the owner – it tells the driver what he or she can expect from the car and the company that built it. When a vehicle requires attention while under warranty, the retail center and its Warranty Administrator deliver that promise.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process warranty claims on a timely basis.
  • Verify claims comply with manufacturer criteria.
  • Reconcile warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
  • Review each claim prior to submission to verify correct claim coding and clarify any concerns.
  • Analyze the Warranty Composite Report and provide an overview of the condition of center warranty claims to service management.
  • Discuss process errors with service management. Propose corrective action and implement as necessary.
  • Provide feedback to colleagues about why claims are returned or refused. Conduct training in warranty processes as required.
  • Review warranty schedule on a regular basis and follow up on disposition of all outstanding claims.
  • Track warranty parts by ensuring proper tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed.
  • File and maintain service records as required by Warranty standards.
  • Keep informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Warranty Administrator experience in an automotive dealership required/brand training given.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid & clean driver's license required.
